What people say about BSDC
As a long-standing member of the Beth Sholom Day Camp family, I am writing to share my thoughts about the wonderful experience that both my sons have had at the camp. Louis has been at the camp for eight years now and Lee Edward has been at the camp for five years and they ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! The counselors and staff are simply wonderful with each of them and give them plenty of attention, especially the nurse's office. They have both developed wonderful friendships and cannot wait for each school year to end so they can return to camp to be carefree and play with their friends. It is such a treat for them to be at this camp. The camp offers a daily schedule with a variety of activities for the kids. Both Louis and Lee love sports and there are plenty of outdoor activities to keep them occupied. They have also learned to become efficient swimmers because of the level of instruction given by their lifeguards. Louis truly loves Sports Academy and Lee Edward is so looking forward to becoming a Sports Academy Camper because of the exciting stories Louis comes home with. My family is so thankful to the extremely competent Director, Ginger Bloom, for introducing us to the camp and to her entire staff for taking good care of our boys throughout the summer. I highly recommend this camp to anyone I speak to.

Beth Sholom Day Camp has been a wonderful place for our children. Both Mara (17) and Adam (14) have been attending BSDC since 2nd grade and kindergarten, respectively. The children attended the traditional full day camper program, the “tweens experience” for girls in grades 5-8 and sports academy for boys in grades 5-8. Currently, Adam is enjoying his first summer as a CIT and Mara is working as a junior counselor.
The programs at BSDC provide a warm and nurturing environment with many activities, run by capable and caring staff. As our children have grown older, the camp has offered different programs to fit their particular needs, interests and development. We are happy our children found a place that has provided them, every summer, with wonderful social experiences and the opportunity to mature as young adults. They are always eager to get up each morning and go to camp.
The staff at BSDC is first rate and makes a personal connection with campers and parents alike. From Ginger, camp director, to Holly, and her office staff, and Miriam, the nurse, we thank you all for the many years of joy and happiness you have provided our family. We are proud that Mara and Adam have the special opportunity to help younger children enjoy the unique summer experience at BSDC and we look forward to many more years as part of the BSDC community.
