Our Staff

Our staff includes experienced school administrators and teachers, as well as enthusiastic college and high school students who are given intensive, ongoing training all summer.

Many of them have come through our CIT program and have been at the camp for many years. Our administrative team has been in place for over 20 years. At the pools, safety is priority #1, and instruction is conducted by a qualified staff of instructors, and certified lifeguards.

Here are some facts about our staff:

• Our group leaders are always college students who must be entering at least their sophomore year.
• Assistant Counselors are going into their freshman year of college.
• Junior Counselors are in 11th or 12th grade.

• Every Nursery/Kindergarten group is headed by a licensed teacher.
• The leaders of all our specialty areas and our division heads, program directors, and athletic directors are teachers, usually with many years experience in their respective specialty.
• At Beth Sholom Day Camp, we have 3 registered nurses on staff at all times in our fully-equipped medical facility. We also have a pediatrician on call for any emergencies or concerns that may arise. He makes regular visits to our camp as well.
